Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm of Pancreas with High-Risk Stigmata or Worrisome Features: What do You Do? Physician’s View

چکیده

There are still debated about surveillance interval, duration, diagnostic modality and treatment for intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) of the pancreas. In recent guidelines, ‘high risk stigmata (HRS)’ ‘worrisome feature (WF)’ defined as predictive factors malignancy in IPMN. IPMNs with HRS main duct- IPMN more likely to accompany malignancies, thus require surgery. However, case only WF, since is different each factor, management decision can be variable according number overlapping WFs. addition, segmental pancreatic duct dilatation without enhancing mural nodules, careful might considered rather than immediate patients elderly or severe comorbidities, strategy should determined based on surgical malignant assessment. To date, natural course WF not well understood, further studies a large needed.
